The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) recently held a two-day Modern PUV Caravan in Baguio-Benguet to showcase the latest advancements in public transportation.
The event was "One Direction Towards PUV Modernization" at the Benguet Sports Complex in La Trinidad, Benguet, from February 16 to 17, 2023. The caravan aimed to promote the use of modern public utility vehicles (PUVs) in the country and encourage operators to switch to more eco-friendly and energy-efficient units.
Nfinite IT Solutions Services Inc. attended the event and showcased its software and hardware technology. The company presented its state-of-the-art vehicle tracking system that utilizes GPS and cloud-based technology to provide real-time tracking of PUVs. Nfinite also introduced its Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) which aims to streamline the fare collection process for transport operators and commuters.
The company’s software system provides transport operators with essential data, such as their vehicles' location, speed, and route. The technology can also provide feedback on fuel consumption, enabling operators to optimize fuel use and reduce costs. Additionally, the system includes a passenger information display that informs commuters of the next stop and the estimated time of arrival.
"We are delighted to be part of this event and to have the opportunity to showcase our innovative technology that can improve the efficiency and safety of public transportation," said Nfinite IT Solutions Services Inc. CEO, Benjamin Javier Jr. "We hope that our technology can help operators transition to modern PUVs and provide better services to their passengers."
